Explanatory notes

The exposure of plastics and elastomers to laboratory light sources is a method of artificial weathering designed to accelerate and standardize the ageing process as compared with outdoor (cf. DIN 53385) or indoor exposure (cf. DIN 53388) while enabling this process to be measured.
