Das Dokument gibt den Prüfumfang an, der erforderlich ist, um die Eignung eines Gerätes für die Benutzung unter den beabsichtigten Bedingungen nachzuweisen. Es gilt für optische Geräte und Geräte mit optischen Baugruppen. Gibt die Anforderungen an die Beständigkeit der optischen, mechanischen, chemischen und elektrischen Eigenschaften oder Leistungsdaten der Geräte an, wenn diese ungeschützt Umwelteinflüssen ausgesetzt sind. Behandelt nicht die Anforderungen an die Verpackung der Geräte während des Transports vom Hersteller zum Anwender.
