SELECTION, INSTALLATION AND OPERATION OF HYDRANTS

Hydranten in Trinkwasserrohrnetzen sind primär für Betriebsmassnahmen der Wasserversorgungsunternehmen (z. B. Rohrnetzspülung) bestimmt. Sie werden darüber hinaus für Feuerlöschzwecke und für sonstige Benutzungszwecke Dritter, wie z. B. Strassenreinigung, Bauwasserversorgung oder zeitlich befristete Trinkwasserversorgung auf Volksfesten, eingesetzt. Die Abstände von Hydranten im Rohrnetz sind in Abhängigkeit der örtlichen Gegebenheiten verschieden, liegen in Ortsnetzen aber meist unter 150 Meter.
