This European Standard specifies requirements and test methods for locking devices fitted by consumers for restricting the opening of windows and balcony doors by children younger than 51 months and intended to prevent the passage of young children.Devices that only lock the window in its completely closed position are excluded from the scope of this standard.NOTEChild resistant locking devices intended to be installed by professionals are beyond the scope of this standard; for such products refer to EN 13126-5.
