Abstract - (Show below) - (Hide below)

Gives advice on writing a technical specification for procurement of pump units used in power stations, but not to apparatus used in the nuclear reactor plant area of nuclear power stations. Applies to Feedwater pumps (including start-up and booster pumps); Condensate and condensate booster pumps;; heater drains pumps; boiler recirculation pumps; condenser cooling water pumps; water recirculation pumps of different systems; auxiliary service water pumps;flue gas desulphurization (DeSOx) plants and ash pumps; Also applies to the gear box,(speed increaser or reducer), variable speed drive (hydraulic coupling, but not motor), the turning gear, monitoring devices, maintenance tools, supports of the pump(s) and drive and ancillary systems, couplings, and all services which allow for complete installation of a pump unit.
