This standard specifies specific safety requirements and their verification for the design and construction of centre pivot and moving lateral types irrigation machines that are electrically powered.NOTEFigures 1 to 5 give illustrations of these machines.In addition, it specifies the type of information on safe working practices to be provided by the manufacturer.The list of significant hazards dealt with in this standard is given in annex A. Annex A also indicates the hazards which have not been dealt with.Hazards due to the use of the pump associated with centre pivot and moving lateral types irrigation machines are not dealt with.Hazards induced by the use of these machines for pesticide products and liquid fertilizer application are not dealt with.Environmental aspects have not been considered in this standard.This standard applies primarily to machines which are manufactured after the date of issue of the standard.
