Defines general requirements for lettering, for use in technical product documentation, particularly for technical drawings. Covers basic conventions in addition to rules for the application of lettering by means of free-hand lettering using an underlaid 'grid', templates and manual lettering instruments, dry transfer systems and numerically controlled lettering and draughting systems.
