Deals with manual ultrasonic examination of nozzle, branch and T-butt attachment fusion welds in ferritic steel greater than 10 mm thick, and of stub welds in ferritic steel greater than 3.6 mm thick. The components to be welded may be pipes, plates, castings or forgings.
