Specifies the requirements for personnel, equipment and general procedures to carry out ultrasonic inspection for lack of bond and subsurface imperfections on white metal bearings, thrust pads and gas seals; they may be either new or in-service high integrity components. The ultrasonic inspection is to be carried out using an ultrasonic compression wave inspection technique. The criteria for the acceptance or rejection of any imperfections found shall be subject to an acceptance standard agreed between the contracting parties.
