IEEE Std 1394a-2000 is a full-use standard whose scope amends IEEE Std 1394-1995 by clarification and definition of features and mechanisms to facilitate management of Serial Bus resources at reconfiguration or during normal operation, and by defining alternate connectors and cables that may be needed for specialized applications.
