This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the mechanical properties of set screws and similar fasteners not under tensile stress made of austenitic stainless steel, when tested over an ambient temperature range of 10 degrees Celsius to 35 degrees Celsius. This Standard does not apply to screws and similar fasteners with special properties, such as weldability. Also, this Standard does not define corrosion or oxidation resistance in particular environments.
