This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies low-voltage circuit breakers having a rated thermal current not exceeding 8000 a (rated short-circuit breaking capacity not exceeding 200 ka) used for the electric circuit not exceeding 600 V a.c. of frequency 50 Hz or 60 Hz, or not exceeding 750 V d.c. (hereafter referred to as the \"circuit-breakers\").
