This specification covers the threaded plugs used as support plugs for types ZRN and ZDM zinc anodes conforming to MIL-A-18001 and iron anodes. Appendix A of this specification establishes basic selection and installation criteria for the application of zinc (type ZEP, ZRN, and ZDM) and iron corrosion preventive anodes to copper, nickel, or iron alloy components of shipboard condensers and heat exchangers.
