Covers the requirements in general for crimping tools, accessories and inspection gages used for connecting removable contacts (such as: coaxial, power, shielded, signal, thermocouple, and filter pin contacts) coaxial connectors, end caps, ferrules, shielded connectors, terminals and splices to wire conductors for use in terminal junction systems, electric connectors and other electronic and electric components. Crimping tools and accessories detailed in this specification are for military use and are the only connector assembly devices to be qualified, procured and issued for military maintenance use.
