This specification covers a small lightweight hand-held wet bulb-globe temperature kit for providing an index of heat stress in outdoor areas of hot and humid climates, in order to control and prevent heat casualties during troop training exercises. The heat stress index is computed by the weighted addition of readings obtained from three different thermometers.
