Defines requirements for pressure sensitive mats and floors usually actuated by feet for use as safety devices for protection of persons from dangerous machinery. Supplies minimum safety requirements for performance, marking and documenting. Intended for persons whose weight is in excess of 35 kg, and those weighing more than 20 kg. Applies to mats whatever form of energy is used, but does not define the dimensions or configuration of the effective sensing area of mats or floors relative to any particular application.
