Abstract - (Show below) - (Hide below)

Covers insulation coordination in railways. Defines clearance requirements and creepage distances for equipment as well as general requirements for tests related to insulation coordination. Applicable to equipment used in signalling, rolling stock and fixed installations up to 2000 m above sea level. Also provides provisions for dielectric tests on equipment. Not applicable to distances through solid or liquid insulation, distances through gases other than air, distances through air not at atmospheric pressure and equipment used under extreme conditions.
