Applies to rectangular connectors specifically designed to be used in equipment for telecommunication, electronic data processing and in similar electronic devices. Does not include connecters for use at frequencies over 3 MHz. Defines uniform specifications and type test requirements for rectangular connectors and gives rules for preparing Detail Specifications.
