Defines the general conditions for analysing polymers by means of thermogravimetric techniques. Applies to liquids or solids: the latter may be in pellet, granule or powder form. The analysis method may also be used for appropriately sized fabricated shapes and for determination of the temperature(s) and decomposition rate(s) of polymers and for measurement of the amounts of volatile matter, additives and/or fillers contained.
