    Ce Document d'Harmonisation spécifie les méthodes et les exigences d'essai pour: les essais d'identification (comme définis en 3.12), les essais de type (comme définis en 3.13). Des composés résineux polymérisables sans solvant destinés à être utilisés pour l'isolation électrique et la protection mécanique dans les accessoires de câbles couverts par l'EN 50393, le HD 629.1 S2 et le HD 629.2 S2, pour la basse et la moyenne tension jusqu'à 20,8/36 (42) kV. Il n'existe pas de lien obligatoire entre les essais d'identification et les essais de type des matériaux et les essais de type des accessoires. Ils doivent être considérés comme des essais indépendants mais ils peuvent être réalisés en combinaison avec les essais de type des accessoires.
