Is for sampling and testing diatomaceous silica (commonly used as a filter in paper) for free moisture, loss on ignition and volatile matter, pH, wet density, brightness, and 325 mesh residue. The powder, also known as diatomite or diatomaceous earth, is a naturally occurring, amorphous silica formed of the fossilized remains of single-celled marine and fresh-water diatoms.
