Gives Telcordia's view of the generic requirements for the use of Signalling System No.7 (SS7) protocol to support Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) basic and primary rate access as specified in TR-TSY-000268. This standard defines procedures for using the ISDN User Part of SS7 to establish and release interoffice circuit connections for calls that either originate from or terminate to an ISDN interface. The procedures outlined in this document support setting up calls using the following transfer capabilities: speech, 3.1 kHz audio, 7 kHz audio, and unrestricted digital information.
