The latest, up-to-date edition.
Defines Bellcore's view of the OSCA Architecture. This architecture may be used by Bellcore Client Companies (BCCs) to promote the interoperability and operability of software products providing business aware functionality in one or more building blocks, and to promote the development of supporting business independent infrastructure software products. The OSCA architecture has been developed to provide a framework to allow business software systems that are distributed over a variety of computing environments of a typical BCC to interoperate. It is intended to accommodate a wide variety of computing environments; to allow a wide choice of database management systems, workstations and application architectures; and to be compatible with a variety of communications architectures.
