Provides Bellcore's view of generic requirements for support of Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) Calling Number Identification (I CNIS). The I CNIS feature extends the concepts of Calling Number Delivery and Calling Number Delivery Blocking to ISDN lines I CNIS also allows the customer to specify which Directory Number (DN) should be used for each outgoing call and provides network screening to ensure that the specified DN is valid. I CNIS handles calling number processing for both circuit mode and packet mode ISDN calls and provides four component features: number Provision, Number Screening, Number Privacy and Number Delivery. Material on Privacy Change by the calling party and Privacy Override by the called party is also included. Issue 1, Revision 1: This Revision is intended to align generic requirements for ISDN Calling Number Identification Service with the name identification services in GR-1326-CORE and GR-862-CORE.
