This revision of ANSI/UL 60079-7 dated June 3, 2021 is being issued to update the title page to reflect the reaffirmation of its ANSI approval and to update the membership list.

1.1 This part of IEC 60079 standard specifies the requirements for the design, construction, testing and marking of electrical equipment and Ex Components with type of protection increased safety “e” intended for use in explosive gas atmospheres.
