La specifica tecnica definisce le caratteristiche necessarie per il funzionamento di una architettura per il recupero del veicolo dopo il furto (After Theft Systems for Vehicle Recovery - ATSVR). Un ATSVR consiste di diversi elementi che comunicano ed interagiscono attraverso numerose interfacce conformemente a procedure e protocolli normalizzati per facilitare il recupero di veicoli rubati.
