Defines axis and motion nomenclature for numerically controlled machines. It is intended to simplify programming for all numerically controlled machines and to facilitate the interchangeability of recorded data. A right-handed rectangular Cartesian coordinate system is used to specify machine and workpiece movements. Specifies requirements identical with those in ISO Standards ISO 841.
