This Standard specifies requirements for four grades of 7-wire stress-relieved, high-tensile steel strand, intended for the prestressing of concrete. The four grades of the 7-wire strand are as follows:(a) Regular, in either normal or low relaxation.(b) Super, in either normal or low relaxation.(c) Extra-high tensile, in either normal or low relaxation.(d) Compact, in low relaxation only.This Standard provides for Regular, Super and Extra-high Tensile grades to be constructed with either plain or indented outer wires.NOTE: Guidelines to purchasers on requirements that should be specified by the purchaser and those that should be agreed at the time of enquiry or order are given in Appendix A.
