This Standard sets out the routine operational inspection and testing procedures which should identify items requiring correction or maintenance (see Section 5). It also sets out the precautions to be taken when a system is rendered inoperative.NOTE: Although it is not classified as routine maintenance, a check on a regular basis is necessary to ensure that the installed system characteristics as shown on the block plan are adequate to protect the current occupancy.
