Abstract - (Show below) - (Hide below)

Specifies minimum performance requirements of wall wetting sprinklers.

Scope - (Show below) - (Hide below)

This Standard specifies minimum requirements for wall wetting sprinkler systems intended to automatically provide external protection to windows, doors, and walls from exposure to fire where the anticipated radiant heat flux from a fire-source feature is 10 kW/m2or greater. It does not apply to manually-operated systems.Appendices provide methods of assessing the area requiring protection and detail a test procedure for assessment of the operating characteristics of wall wetting sprinklers when exposed to radiant heat.
