This Standard specifies requirements supplementary to AS 2005.10, applicable to fuses for use by authorized persons (see AS 2005.10 for a definition of authorized persons). Fuses for use by authorized persons are generally designed to be used in installation where the fuse-links are accessible to, and may be replaced by, authorized persons only.ApplicationThis Standard is intended to be read in conjunction with AS 2005.10 and other Standards in the AS 2005 series.Fuses for use by authorized persons shall comply with all the requirements of AS 2005.10 unless otherwise indicated herein and shall also comply with the supplementary requirements set out below.NOTES:1. The clause and table numbering of this Standard corresponds to AS 2005.10. Additional tables herein are numbered 1 and 2, as distinct from the table numbering system, based on section numbers, used in AS 2005.10.2. Sections and clauses of AS 2005.10 which apply without amendments or supplementary requirements herein do not appear in this Standard.3. If fuses that are designed for use by authorized persons are intended to be used by unskilled persons, they should also comply with the requirements of IEC 269-3, or when published, a Standard in the AS 2005 series for supplementary requirements for fuses for use by unskilled persons.
