Abstract - (Show below) - (Hide below)

Specifies the requirements for the installation of water services from the authority's water main or alternative portable water supplies to the points of discharge. The standard applies to new installations as well as alterations, additions and repairs to existing installations.

Scope - (Show below) - (Hide below)

This Standard sets out the requirements for the installation of water services from the authority's water main or alternative potable water supplies to the points of discharge. This Standard applies to new installations as well as alterations, additions and repairs to existing installations.Illustrations used in this Standard are diagrammatic only and have been chosen without prejudice.Construction of a water supply installation in accordance with this Standard is deemed to satisfy the requirements of AS 3500.1.1 for Australia. This Standard may be used as an alternative acceptable solution to Clause G12 of the New Zealand Building Code but may exceed the performance requirements.NOTE: The requirements for hot water services are set out in AS/NZS 3500.4.2
