Proposes traffic control devices to be used to control and warn traffic at and in advance of railway level crossings. Significant changes incorporated in this revision include the addition of a red target board to the basic position (crossbuck) sign, new symbolic train and diagrammatic warning signs for passive control crossings, and a minimum treatment option of certain low volume crossings. Sight distance requirements for passive control crossings are included in an appendix.
