Gives general and safety requirements for electronic ballasts for use on d.c. supplies, having rated voltages not exceeding 250V, associated with fluorescent lamps complying with IEC Publication 81. Also covers electronic ballasts for lamps which are not yet standardized. Excludes independent ballasts. Tests described are type tests. Requirements for testing individual ballasts during production are not included.
