IEC 60050-802:2011 defines terms specifically relevant to ultrasonics for inclusion in a new part of the International Electrotechnical Vocabulary. In this part of IEV, the terms and definitions are written in French and English; in addition the terms are given in Arabic (ar), German (de), Spanish (es), Italian (it), Japanese (ja), Polish (pl), Portuguese (pt) and Chinese (zh).
It has the status of a horizontal standard in accordance with IEC Guide 108.
