This specification defines the characteristics, performance and testing criteria for single ferrule fiber optic connectors. The connectors described herein cover families as listed in 1.2. The connectors are supplied under a MIL-STD-790 reliability assurance program. See 6.1 for restrictions on intended use and applications.
