Sets out the essential details required by the OSI Registration Authority to ensure a unique naming and addressing within the OSI environment for Australia. The three areas covered are PRMD and ADMD name registration in the X.400 area, the ISO DCC structure for a network address within the Network-Service-Access-Point area, and a proposal for a national object identifier naming schema.

This publication covers the allocation of the following:(a) Name components which can be used to construct directory names as specified in ISO/IEC 9594 (X.500).(b) Names for private management domains and administrative management domains under ISO/IEC 10021 (X.400).(c) Sub-network independent network service access point (NSAP) addresses under the ISO DCC scheme described in ISO/IEC 8348.(d) Unique numeric components which can be used to construct unambiguous object identifiers under the ISO scheme in accordance with ISO/IEC 8824 (ASN.1).NOTE: Each of these areas will be administered by the registration authority.
