La présente Norme internationale spécifie les caractéristiques des fluides neufs à base d'esters de triaryl phosphates utilisés pour la régulation des turbines et pour d'autres systèmes hydrauliques dans les centrales électriques. Ces fluides sont difficilement inflammables et ont peu tendance à propager le feu, mais ils ne peuvent pas être considérés comme ininflammables. Il convient de ne les introduire que dans des systèmes qui ont été conçus pour cela et pour lesquels le fabricant a recommandé leur utilisation. Il est important d'assurer un controle régulier de ces fluides. Des informations détaillées sur leur controle et sur les procédures correspondantes de sécurité sont données dans la CEI 60978(3) et devraient pouvoir être fournies par le fabricant de l'équipement et par les fournisseurs de fluide.
