Deals with the three particular problems presented; the tubesheet is highly perforated; in floating head fixed tubesheet exchangers, the tube bundle, tubesheets, and shell form astatically indeterminate structure; tubesheets experience different combinations of pressure and thermal load under different phases of operation.
