This Standard specifies construction, dimensions and tests for cables and flexible cables insulated with glass fibre and intended for use in electrical installations at working voltages up to and including 0.6/1 kV.It does not apply to flexible cords for which there is a separate Australian Standard, AS 3191.NOTES:1 Purchasing guidelines are contained in Appendix A.2 This Standard is intended to apply only to glass fibre insulated cables of the types and sizes included herein. It is not intended, however, that other types or sizes of equivalent cables should be precluded from use, subject to approval by the regulatory authorities.
