This part of ISO16143 specifies the technical delivery conditions for hot- or cold-rolled sheet/plate and strip for general purposes made of the most important corrosion-resistant stainless steel grades. NOTE1 In the text, under the term “general purposes”, purposes other than the special purposes mentioned in References [1] to [4] are understood. NOTE2 Heat-resistant steel grades can be found in ISO4955 and they can be used for corrosion-resistant purposes. In addition to this part of ISO16143 , the general technical delivery requirements of ISO404 are applicable. This part of ISO16143 does not apply to components manufactured by further processing of the product forms listed in the first paragraph where quality characteristics are altered as a result of such processing.
