L'objet de ce recueil est de proposer une liste de documents (normes, méthodes validées par des circuits d'inter comparaison, documents d'appui technique validés par l'expérience), applicables à la caractérisation des déchets radioactifs mais aussi à la caractérisation des colis eux-mêmes. L'application systématique des documents référencés dans ce recueil permet de répondre de manière optimisée aux controles de spécifications des centres de stockage et d'entreposage. Cette application assure en particulier la qualité des résultats des mesures et des calculs ainsi que la rigueur et la maîtrise des incertitudes. Ce recueil s'inscrit logiquement dans les programmes d'assurance qualité et constitue donc une aide précieuse aux producteurs de déchets pour l'obtention d'un agrément.
