Applies to electrical equipment and the instrumentation and control equipment (I & C) of the safety system used in nuclear power generating stations. Includes components or equipment of any interface whose failure could affect adversely the performance of the safety system. Presents acceptable seismic qualification requirements and methods to demonstrate that electrical and I & C equipment can perform their safety-related functions after and during an earthquake. This standard is to be used in conjunction with IEC 60780.
