    Provides users for specifying the functional requirements for transmission static Var compensators (SVCs) using conventional thyristor technology. Many sections will be useful for compensator systems using gate turn-off thyristor technology [static synchronous compensator (STATCOM)] or other semiconductor devices, or SVCs associated with high-voltage direct current (HVDC) converter stations, or industrial and distribution applications.
