FASC 13858. La presente Guida Tecnica descrive i principi per la scelta, il funzionamento, l'ubicazione ed il coordinamento degli SPD collegati ai circuiti da 50 Hz a 60 Hz in c.a. ed ad apparecchiature a tensione nominale fino a 1000 V in c.a efficaci. I limitatori di sovratensioni (SPD) sono impiegati per proteggere, in determinate condizioni, i sistemi e le apparecchiature elettriche contro le diverse sovratensioni e correnti impulsive, come i fulmini e le sovratensioni di manovra. Gli SPD devono essere scelti tenendo conto delle condizioni ambientali di utilizzazione e del tasso di guasto accettabile delle apparecchiature e degli SPD.
