NO CONTENTS SECTION
Establishes qualification and performance requirements for flexible printed wiring consisting of conductor patterns on one or both sides of a flexible insulating base with or without interfacial connections and with or without stiffeners. The purpose is to provide classes of requirements for performance/acceptance of flexible printed wiring for industry and government use. Recognizes that the flexible printed wiring will be subject to classification by intended end item use. Towards this end, three general product classes have been established to reflect progressive increases in sophistication, functional performance requirements and testing inspection frequency. The three classes are: consumer, general and high reliability.
