Recommendations are made on responsibilities, principles, techniques and strategies for control, organizational arrangements, placement and training of personnel, supervision, occupational health services, general requirements for the working environment and machinery, plant and equipment, storage and handling of materials, control of harmful chemicals, protection against fire and explosion, vehicle operation and personal protective equipment. An appendix lists the Australian Standards specifying detailed requirements for particular operations and equipment, and includes references to other appropriate reference material.
