Applies, unless otherwise specified in relevant IEC standards, to all a.c. high-voltage switchgear and controlgear designed for indoor or outdoor installation, for operation at service frequencies up to and including 60 Hz, on systems having voltages above 1000 V. The contents of the corrigenda of January 2001 and December 2001 have been included in this copy. This consolidated version consists of the second edition (1996), its amendment 1 (2000) and its amendment 2 (2001). Therefore, no need to order amendments in addition to this publication.
